FD 44

How many luminaires can be connected to one strip light (automatic cut-out)?

The number in the table refers to an N-circuit 16A with type B switch-off characteristic. Double the number of luminaires can be fitted when using the type C circuit.

FD 5

Do I need extra control cable for the dimmable luminaires?

No, the control cables are positioned parallel to the mains supply in the luminaire with Mini AMP-plug or socket. No further control cable is needed where there is a clearance of up to 40cm between luminaires.

What is important to remember when dimming luminaires?

New lamps should be burned (seasoned) at full power for 100 hours to stabilise the discharge.  Otherwise colour discrepancies can occur and the lamp life is reduced considerably (T5 only about 6,000 hours)

Futura

Where is the supply cable mounted?

The cable can be taken to the top or the back of the cavity behind the feeder element. It can be laid anywhere between the mounting hooks.

How should attention be drawn to the fact that more than one feeder element is planned?

The function of the additional switch (e.g. "to operate an external light" or "to operate the luminaires pos…." should be indicated, and whether the supply cable as shown in the drawings is needed or not.

How is the 4-pin supply line connected?

If no switch is planned in the luminaire and sockets exist, a 4-pin supply line is fitted, so that the luminaires can be operated externally and the sockets are always operable. Supply line configuration: brown = phase (sockets); black = L’ (jumper wire for light); grey = neutral wire (used to be blue); green/yellow = protective conductor.

IR-S / IR-DS

How far away from the door can it be?

The distance between the IR-DS sensor and the door should be no greater than 50mm.
